Hue boasts paintings of Sinh village. Sinh or Lai An village is located in Phu Vang district, 9km east of Hue city. If Dong Ho folk paintings reflect the down-to-earth daily life of northern delta residents, Sinh village paintings are used for belief and worship purposes.
08.00 am – Aodaigo ladies in a traditional Áo Dài meet you at hotel lobby and we ride eastward along the city river to Thanh Toàn tile-roofed Bridge in Thanh Toàn village, Thủy Thanh Commune, Hương Thủy District, about 8 km from Hue city. Here we will enjoy the peaceful scenery of the countryside with farmers working on their tranquil rice fields, talk to friendly local people in the small market and learn more about their daily life.
Then we continue ride to Sình painting village, famous for woodblock printed paintings. We will stop to visit one of the family and learn about painting techniques and materials.
We then ride back to town and stop to enjoy Hue street food such as Hue cakes, sweet soups and café before we say farewell at your hotel.
* Optional: you can choose to visit Thanh Tien – paper flower making village or Sình village.
